Pharmacy Services at the SMH are one of the most innovative and comprehensive institutional pharmacies in Pakistan. Our pharmacies are trusted for delivering high quality authentic medicines. We have a trained team of highly qualified pharmacists and technicians who are skilled and knowledgeable about the medicines we dispense. Our dispensing system is unique for pharmacy services. Our pharmacists are trained to offer guidance to our patients to ensure that they receive the maximum therapeutic effect from their medicines, avoid reactions or harmful effects and clearly understand the side effects.
Our Main In-Patient Hospital pharmacy is a state-of-the-art purpose built facility with a sterile preparation area and cytotoxic drug preparation area. We have satellite pharmacies located within the hospital floors and wards, which help to avoid medication errors and makes our distribution process more effective. We follow standardized practices as e-prescription order entry system, pharmacist interventions, and therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) to ensure medications delivered to our patients in the hospital wards are safe, correct and are of the right dosage.
